Alfreton Town Ladies bagged all 3 points at the Impact Arena Wednesday night against an already relegated Hereford.

In difficult wet conditions Alfreton Ladies kept the ball for long spells but found it difficult to hit the target with the ground so wet under foot However after some clever passing Alfreton found themsleves in the lead when captain Sam Griffiths fired home a superb shot from a difficult angle that left the keeper no chance.Despite coming close again at half time the scored remained 1.0

Hereford came out fighting and despite Alfreton again having long spells of posession Hereford managed to defend stoutly. However on 50 minutes Sara Green found herself unmarked and cooly slotted home the ball and within minutes Bob Henton found herself on the score sheet when she hit home a super cross from Sam Griffiths.This seemed to spur Alfreton  Town on and Sara Green bagged herself a brace on the hour. The defence of Coke ,Jules and Lou found themsleves with little to do and this gave the manger the luxury of allowing the defence to push up and pressure the Hereford goal Lou Naylor coming close twice with two vollys hitting the bar .On the 70th minute Bob Henton made it 5.0 and this was quickly followed up when defender Jules headed home a Sam Griffiths corner.
